Pumpkin Carving Time

I love pumpkin carving time. My baby brother thinks pumpkins are “pretty”. My mom bought two pumpkins the other day that haven’t been carved yet because it’s still a little early but I can’t wait to see how they will look this year.
Here’s a picture of what our pumpkins looked like last year. I really like this picture because it looks like they have flames coming out of their eyes. The little pumpkin was my brothers, which my dad helped carved and the big pumpkin was mine. My mom carved that one.
My grammy bought a computer program for my mom to use that let’s us design our own pumpkin faces and then mom can print them out and use them to trace onto the pumpkins. I think this year I want to make a really big and scary looking pumpkin.
Last year we also went to the Keene Pumpkin Festival which has tons and tons of pumpkins. It’s really cool to see all of them lit up at night and they also had a HUGE slide for the kids to go down.
Pumpkin carving time is the best part of fall – well besides trick or treating.

Don’t forget about the “pumpkin guts” Lucien. You and your brother had a lot of fun squishing the stuff between your fingers.
Hi Lucien,
Reagan thinks your jack-o-lanterns look awesome! He has never carved one because we do not have them over here in Australia. We don’t even have Halloween!! Your Mom and I used to have lots of fun around Halloween. Ask her what we used to do with marshmellows…
Can’t wait to see your pumpkins from this year!
Hi Jodie,
That was nice of you to say that about the pumpkins.
Thank you for commenting on my web site, I hope you like it.
Mom told me about the marshmallows, that is really, really funny.
Hope you get this message, not sure if I am doing this right. Your pumpkins are really cool. Sometime you should show your cousins Livia and Emily how you and Mama carve your pumpkins. Livia still remembers Christmas at your house. She was telling me last night how she made Christmas cookies at your house last year and then left them for Santa to eat Love, Aunt Lynn
