My New Kitty – Skitter

kitty1.jpg

Last week my Mom and Dad surprised me by letting me get a kitty. My Mom took me to the pet store and they had two kittens left. I chose the brown and white kitty. He’s only 8 weeks old so he’s still a little baby.

After we bought him we went to another store to buy him some food, litter box and a toy.

My kitty loves to play and he falls over and hits his head on the wall when he’s playing with his toys. He’s really funny and silly.

I decided to name him Skitter and his middle name is Bonkers because he’s always hitting his head. I really like that name.

I’ve been helping my Mom to take care of him by cleaning out his stinky litter box. It’s not fun and I don’t like it but I’ve been a good boy and have been doing it without my Mom having to ask me.

Skitter is a little nervous around my little brother because he gets loud and noisy. He runs away and hides from him under the couch. Marshall, my little brother, doesn’t know what the words “be easy” means and we always have to remind him to be careful. I get really tired of telling him over and over what “be easy” means. He can be such a jerk sometimes.

We Carved Pumpkins Again

We had fun carving our pumpkins this year. My Grammy Wood came up to help us with the carving and my mom used a program to create the templates that we used to mark our pumpkins with.

My brother had fun making a big mess with the yucky pumpkin stuff. He splattered it all over the walls and the floor. My mom and Grammy weren’t very happy and it’s a good thing my dad was at work or he would have really been mad if he saw the huge mess that was everywhere.

After the mess was cleaned up my Mom and Grammy helped cut out the designs, which took forever. When we finished we put candles inside of them and brought them into our bathroom where we put the shade down to make it dark so we could see how they looked. It was still day time, that’s why we had to put the shade down.

My Mom took these pictures and here is another one showing what they look like lit up.

She couldn’t get the flames shooting out of the top like last years picture. I wish she could figure out how she made that picture do that – it was really cool.

I like cats and I’m not sure if you can tell but that’s what that is above my name on my pumpkin. I really have a lot of fun making the pumpkins. I don’t like to clean them out but making the faces is fun.

Baby Laughing and Falling Over

My mom and I found this really funny video the other day. We laughed so hard when we watched it. My mom was crying so hard from laughing and my belly was sore from all of the laughing that we did.

When Grammy Wood came over to visit we showed it to her and she laughed and laughed. What was even funnier was my little brother Marshall was pretending that he was the baby on the video – we all laughed and laughed and then laughed some more.

Baby Raccoon Staring at Me

This summer we had a baby raccoon in our back yard. Here is a picture of him in a tree above my sandbox.

He was up in this tree staring at me on the swings.

My dad caught him a few weeks later in a trash can and we then took him far away from our house and let him go in the woods.

Here is another picture of him in the barrel just before we let him go. My mom took this picture. Now that he’s living in the woods away from our house, we no longer have trash all over the lawn because he was getting into our trash bags every night making a mess that my mom and dad had to clean up.

Grampa’s Race Car and Fishing

I wanted mom to put a picture of my Grampa’s race car on my site but she doesn’t have one yet. She said that she would take one with her digital camera. Once I have some I will have her post them so you can see how cool his car looks.

Grampa picked me up from school the other day with his race car, it’s actually a 1973 Chevy Nova, but it’s really loud and fast so my brother and I call it a race car. I was really excited to ride in it with him, it was a lot of fun.

After he picked me up he took me fishing at the lake, I’m a good fisherman. I caught six fish and wanted to keep them for pets but my mom said that we didn’t have a place for them.

I hope Grampa picks me up from school in his race car and takes me fishing again before winter.
